Yesterday (9/5/2016) I placed an order for delivery around 5:24 pm. We ordered 2 sweet and sour chickens and one sesame chicken all with fried rice instead of white rice for the upcharge. We also ordered 8 crab rangoon with an extra side of sweet and sour as well as 2 egg rolls. We were told our order would arrive in about 40 minutes. 80 minutes later I called to see where it was and the man said it was on its way. The food did not arrive until after 7 pm, 90 minutes later which is more than double what we were told. When the food did arrive there were no apologies for the delivery time. When I opened the food up, I was missing one fried rice and extra sweet and sour sauce which was all charged at an upcharge. Not only this, but the food was cold and the sweet and sour sauce for the chicken was watered down. I normally do not complain, but I do expect that when I pay $52 plus tip on meals for my guests and I that I am going to receive food with good quality and service expectations, especially when living less than 5 miles away from a restaurant. Is there anything that the store can do to remedy this situation. I would appreciate a response to this email in a timely manner. Thank you and I hope you have a great day.

Hi,This is Ikuko Yuasa. I left a deposit for a party tray sushi order last Friday.I would like to change the contents of my order slightly. I'm wondering if I could send you a Word file detailing the changes by email attachment.

Your website did not say if you were open on Mondays, and I know a lot of restaurants aren't. So, we went somewhere else for dinner. I really wanted sushi, too.

Do you have all you can eat sushi? If so, when and how much? Thank you!

4 stars for a great value.I've only had the sushi and Japanese here - so I can't speak to the Chinese, Korean and Thai food. But I can say that the sushi and Japanese dishes are good and very well priced. It is not nearly the best sushi I have had before - but for an establishment in "landlocked" central Illinois, this is good. The staff is very friendly and have always had good service. They don't have a huge selection of sushi or Japanese dishes, but they have a lot of the basics. Check out their speciality rolls. For business travellers: right off of Veterans by Best Buy, easy to get to from several hotels in the area.

This place is getting old and it shows interior is worn and showing age also does not give a clean appearance. I have had the box lunch here years ago and it was pretty good however just tried it again for sushi and it sucks. I tried the spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls and they were bad. Ingrediants did not appear to be fresh to myself or my daughter and rolls were some of the worst i have ever had. Your money is much better spent at Lucky Garden where it is a cleaner appearance and the sushi tastes much fresher.

It's hard for me to give this place one rating as their food differs in quality depending on what you get. I am a big fan of the Japanese menu at this place - I usually dine here when I'm craving teriyaki chicken and I'm always satisfied. It's a little pricey but the Japanese lunch menu also comes with a basic soup and salad. The teriyaki chicken itself is delicious and also comes with a small variety of vegetables delectable vegetables and plain white rice. It's a very yummy and complete meal that will not leave you hungry. As far as appetizers I've only had the crab rangoon and egg rolls but both are very good. I particularly favor the crab rangoon which comes with a sweet and sour sauce. Now taking into consideration what I've mentioned so far, the restaurant would definitely earn at least 4 stars. The reason that it got a 3 [a generous one at that] is because today I decided to try the Chinese lunch menu.I am an avid Chinese food eater and usually when trying out a new restaurant I go with the safest route - I ordered chicken with broccoli. My boyfriend who decided to go a more adventurous route picked out the chicken pad thai [which being a Thai dish really made me question it's purpose on the Chinese lunch menu.]When we got the food we were utterly disappointed. The chicken was slimy in both our dishes and the sauces used were strange and unidentifiable. If they have the same cooks preparing these various dishes know that they are not too keen on fulfilling orders outside of the Japanese menu.I will definitely buy teriyaki chicken from here again as its one of the best meals I've had in the BloNo area. As far as the Chinese menu goes, never again.

Orient Gourmet is our favorite place to go in the Bloomington Normal area. We love the sushi - the salmon crunch roll is the best. Hands down best crab rangoon I've ever had. The fried rice isn't as good as other places, but we don't go there for that anyways. Sushi is always fresh and delicious. There is a huge selection of different things and the prices are about average. I can justify spending 20 bucks on a great meal here, and you should too. Oh and the service is always extremely attentive and polite.?
